Role Summary:
The position is responsible for providing guided nature, birding and wildlife tours.
What To Expect In The Role
- Guide nature, birding and wildlife tours.
- Provide routine care of VPS vehicles, including cleaning, filling with fuel, checking tires and oil.
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to learn the history of the Ranch and current operations and conduct tours of King Ranch by providing accurate information in an interesting way to our visitors.
- Experienced birder, ability to identify birds on the King Ranch checklist.
- Have a general knowledge about area wildlife.
- Ability to be courteous towards visitors and staff in a Texas Friendly environment.
- Possess excellent customer service skills.
- Must be willing to follow department guidelines for grooming and dress.
- Must have a valid drivers’ license in good standing, possess the appropriate type driver’s license and can drive tour vehicles in a safe manner.
