Job Description:
Instruct and train students of various ages and skill levels in the classical art form of ballet, emphasizing technical precision, grace, and artistic expression.
Design and implement class lessons by communicating and physically demonstrating required technique and combinations, following an existing syllabi or artistic direction
Observe students to determine physical and artistic qualifications and limitations, providing constructive feedback and class placement recommendations each semester.
Prepare students for performances, showcases, and recitals, while fostering a safe, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment.43
Minimum Requirements:
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Professional performing experience or an Associate's or Bachelor's degree (or professional equivalency) in Dance or a related field is preferred.
To teach in public or private K-12 schools, a Bachelor's degree in Dance or Dance Education and a valid teaching certification are typically required.
Professional qualification or certification from a recognized dance awarding organization is often sought to improve employment opportunities.
