JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The Inside Sales Representative assists the Account Executive with the closing of the business deal. Simultaneously, the Inside Sales Representative is responsible for identifying potential prospects and target accounts while ensuring participation and support.
Essential Functions
1. Contacts customers to rate their bills of lading.
2. Calls and emails customers regarding the status of their cargo.
3. Provides customers with quotations, when requested.
4. Follows up on rates already quoted.
5. Makes sure contracts are up-to-date.
6. Prepares One Time Fillings (OTFs) requests for customers that cannot sign contracts.
7. Sends out the weekly sailing schedules to Northbound and Southbound customers.
8. Schedules the appointments for the Account Executives.
9. Looks up statistics for new customers.
10. Helps the traffic representative with bookings, if needed.
11. Completes a weekly Sales Action Plan report.
12. Any other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
- Three to five years of experience as an Inside Sales Representative or similar positions.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree.
- Knowledge of customs regulations
- HAZMAT certified
Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable)
Employee must be authorized to work in the U.S.
