General Laborer

Description:The General Laborer in the Mold Repair Department supports daily operations by assisting with the cleaning, handling, movement, and basic preparation of tire molds and related components. This role ensures a safe, clean, and efficient work environment while supporting technicians, machinists, and repair personnel. The hours are from 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM - Mon - Fri. Key Responsibilities• Assist in cleaning, degreasing, and preparing molds and mold components for repair or inspection.• Support mold technicians by moving materials, parts, and equipment throughout the facility using pallet jacks, hoists, or other approved tools.• Perform basic disassembly and reassembly tasks under supervision.• Maintain shop cleanliness, including sweeping, trash removal, organizing tools, and keeping work areas clear of debris.• Assist with sandblasting, pressure washing, or basic surface prep as directed.• Follow all safety procedures, including proper PPE use, lockout/tagout awareness, and machine safety rules.• Report any damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, or maintenance needs to supervisors immediately.• Support inventory tasks such as stocking supplies, counting parts, and labeling materials.• Help load and unload molds or components from trucks or staging areas.• Complete assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner to support production schedules.Qualifications• High school diploma or GED preferred.• Previous experience in a manufacturing, foundry, repair, or industrial environment is a plus.• Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform physical labor in a shop environment.• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.• Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and dependability.Work Environment• Exposure to noise, dust, oils, heat, and industrial machinery.• Use of required PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, and hearing protection.Requirements:
