Job Overview

King Insurance Group is looking for an Associate Agent / Office Manager to join our team and help lead our Rainbow City office.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, building relationships, solving problems, and helping customers understand their insurance options. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day operations of the Rainbow City office while also helping grow our agency through new business sales, referrals, cross-selling, and exceptional customer service.

As an independent insurance agency, we work with multiple insurance companies, which allows us to shop different markets and help our customers find coverage that fits their individual needs. Our goal isn't simply to find the cheapest policy—we want to educate our customers, provide options, and build long-term relationships.

What You'll Do

As an Associate Agent / Office Manager, you'll work directly with both prospective and existing customers and help manage the daily operations of our Rainbow City office.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Talk with customers and prospects by phone, text, email, and in person
• Quote and sell personal insurance products
• Identify opportunities to bundle policies and better protect customers
• Ask questions to understand a customer's needs rather than simply providing the cheapest quote
• Follow up consistently with prospects who have received quotes
• Develop new business through agency leads, referrals, cross-selling, community relationships, and other opportunities
• Review existing accounts and identify additional coverage needs
• Assist existing customers with policy questions, changes, billing questions, claims guidance, and general service needs
• Explain insurance coverage and pricing in a way customers can easily understand
• Communicate with insurance carriers and underwriters when needed
• Maintain accurate customer records, notes, documentation, and follow-up activities
• Help oversee the daily operations and organization of the Rainbow City office
• Meet individual sales and retention goals while contributing to the overall growth of King Insurance Group
• Represent King Insurance Group professionally within the Rainbow City and surrounding communities

The right person for this position:

• Has an active Alabama Property & Casualty insurance license, or is willing and able to obtain one
• Insurance experience is preferred, but not required for the right candidate
• Enjoys talking with people and building relationships
• Is comfortable making and receiving phone calls throughout the day
• Is comfortable with sales and asking for the business
• Communicates professionally and can explain information clearly
• Is organized and follows through on commitments
• Can manage multiple customers, tasks, deadlines, and follow-ups
• Is comfortable learning and using different computer programs and technology
• Takes initiative and doesn't need to be reminded of every next step
• Is coachable and willing to continue learning
• Has a positive attitude and works well as part of a team
• Understands the importance of confidentiality when handling customer information
• Takes ownership of their work, customer relationships, and results
• Wants an opportunity to grow professionally as our agency continues to grow

Schedule

Full-Time
Monday–Friday
Rainbow City Office

No weekends.

Compensation

Competitive base compensation with opportunities for additional earnings through monthly, quarterly, and annual performance incentives.

Compensation will be based on experience, licensing, and qualifications.
