Role Description The Records Modernization Coordinator is a full-time hybrid role based in Seattle, WA, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time. This role is responsible for supporting the transition from legacy records systems to modern, digital records management solutions, ensuring that information is accurate, secure, and accessible. Day-to-day work includes inventorying records, assessing current processes, coordinating data migration, and maintaining standardized filing, retention, and retrieval procedures. The coordinator collaborates with departments to document workflows, develop training materials, and assist staff in adopting new tools and practices. This position also monitors compliance with records policies, prepares reports and dashboards, and recommends improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
Qualifications
- Experience with records management or information governance, including organizing, cataloging, and maintaining physical and electronic records.
- Skills in data entry, data quality review, and basic database or content management system use to support records modernization efforts.
- Ability to document processes, create clear procedures, and assist with change management related to new systems or workflows.
- Proficiency with common office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentation tools) and comfort learning new digital platforms.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects or priorities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and provide user-friendly guidance.
