Materials Management/Finance Associate
$28/hr max
Part-time, Mon-Wed, sometimes Thursdays (no Fridays)

Reports to: Director of Operations
General Position Description:
- Perform financial transactions associated with purchase orders, inventory management, customer sales orders, and employee expenses in the Company’s financial system.
- Support vendor management to include setup of vendors in financial system, billing/invoicing and other related activities.
- Keep pertinent records and provide reporting on financial and inventory activities.
- Continuous verbal and written communication.
Position Responsibilities:
The Materials Management/Finance Associated is primarily responsible for
supporting the Corporate finance team by:
- Executing financial and inventory transactions in the Company’s financial system.
- Setup and maintenance of vendor information.
- Generate purchase orders from quotes and facilitate the approval process.
- Work from manufacturing and customer service records to record inventory adjustments, transfers and fulfillments.
- Capture expenses charged to corporate account and submit for reimbursement.
- Reconcile bank and debit card charges and balances.
- Enter vendor bills for payment.
- Carry out all work in a safe manner.
- Other tasks may also be assigned.
Required Skills and Training:
- Bachelors degree
- 2 years experience in accounting and/or finance
- Detailed oriented and able to follow documented procedures.
- Competence with MS Office or similar software.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor own work to ensure quality, accuracy, and thoroughness.
- Good communication skills; fluent in written and verbal English.
- Self-motivated and able work both independently and as part of a team.
- Job requires a willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges.
- Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.
- Must use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
