Responsibilities include managing the technical aspects of SCADA personnel and infrastructure, driving standardization and reliability, ensuring data accuracy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
1) Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead a team of SCADA technicians and engineers.
- Provide technical insight for the overall direction and vision for the SCADA/Automation function of the Company.
- Lead efforts with Operations and other OT/Automation personnel to develop SCADA/Automation standards.
- Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and automation.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Define annual growth opportunities for each team member to foster career growth and improve retention and job satisfaction.
- Develop systems to manage project execution and clearly define and monitor each team members contribution.
- Oversee the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of SCADA systems across pipelines, compressor stations, and other midstream assets.
- Manage SCADA/Automation projects including developing scope, budgets, and schedules as required.
- Optimize visibility and highlight anomalies to operations for product flows, pressures, temperatures, and other critical parameters using SCADA information.
- Troubleshoot or oversee and resolve SCADA-related issues promptly.
- Drive the effort for continuous improvement of SCADA standards and usability.
- Implement cybersecurity measures to protect SCADA networks from unauthorized access, cyber threats, and data breaches.
- Regularly validate and audit SCADA data flow to maintain accuracy and reliability.
- Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Participate in planning, scheduling, and executing facility operations, shutdowns, and start-ups related to the SCADA system.
- Conduct routine checks, preventive maintenance, and repairs on SCADA hardware and software.
- Coordinate with field personnel to address alarms, anomalies, and emergency situations.
- Coordinate with other departments such as Accounting, Finance, EH&S, Operations, and Automation to provide reporting or integrate SCADA with other enterprise value systems to increase the value to the Company and Shareholders.
- Continually evaluate SCADA/Automation systems to maximize both efficacy and efficiency.
- Provide meaningful decision-making information to Management and other parties in the organization either by direct programing or overseeing third party service providers as required.
- Support SCADA related activities for all acquisitions and divestitures, ensuring proper integration.
- Provide analytical and abstract thinking skills with the ability to quickly process information and solve problems.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Respond as needed to emergency or urgent issues regarding the facility control and communication systems.
- Promote and ensure a safe working environment for all Employees and Contractors, including adherence to all safety regulations and procedures, as well as ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and industry practices relating to the SCADA/Automation process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology / Computer Information Systems / Electrical Engineering or other technical field.
- Minimum 20 years SCADA experience (integrations, support, overhauls) - prior experience with AVEVA products preferred.
- Prior experience in remote operations and gas processing preferred.
- Broad knowledge, technical expertise and work experience relating to this position.
- Basic computer skills including proficiency with MS Outlook and Excel, as well as specialized software relating to job-related data systems.
- Prior experience directing remote teams, contractors and personnel.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Advanced knowledge of industry codes, regulations, company policies and practices – especially those related to cyber security, data transfer, and compliance reporting.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.

- Able to travel as needed for Team or Operations interaction. (Expect 20% travel, but may be more or less according to requirements of the Company or as needed to effectively execute the role)
- Will be working in an office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
- Will work outdoors in adverse or extreme weather conditions.
- Will be required to frequently drive to other field facilities within their assigned region.
- Available outside of normal working hours as needed for business necessity.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Ability to work effectively in all working conditions noted above.
- Will require lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs. in a safe manner on an occasional basis.
- Ability to possess and maintain a valid driver's license to include a safe driving record satisfactory to the company.
