Role Overview:
As a Housekeeping Talent Advisor, you will serve as an instructor and mentor—teaching participants the skills, knowledge, and best practices required for professional housekeeping roles. Unlike a traditional housekeeping position, this role is focused on training others, guiding them through hands-on practice, and preparing them for success in the workplace.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver instructional sessions covering essential housekeeping skills (e.g., cleaning techniques, safety standards, equipment use, OSHA compliance).
- Provide hands-on demonstrations and supervise participant practice.
- Teach proper use of cleaning solutions, equipment, and environmentally safe practices.
- Instill professional standards of customer service, time management, and workplace communication.
- Ensure participants understand and follow safety and security procedures.
- Assess participant performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain training areas, tools, and equipment in good working order.
- Submit progress reports and performance evaluations to program supervisors.
- Act as a role model by demonstrating professionalism, dependability, and strong work ethic.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2 years of professional housekeeping, custodial, or facilities management experience. Training or instructional experience preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional vocational training or certifications in custodial services a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to teach and demonstrate hands-on skills with patience and clarity.
- Knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety standards.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs, and work in varied environmental conditions when demonstrating skills.
