What Youâll Do
- Lead and optimize daily CNC machining and Assembly operations in a high-mix, low-volume aerospace environment.
- Drive daily GEMBA walks and actively contribute to weekly production and 360 meetings.
- Manage a team of 50 production employees, including performance management, discipline, PTO/OT approvals, and staffing oversight.
- Own all safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance across the facility.
- Ensure adherence to NADCAP, AS9100, and customer-specific aerospace requirements.
- Oversee production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation across multi-axis machining centers and Assembly operations.
- Maintain accurate production travelers and ensure data integrity within the ERP system (Epicor).
- Implement lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement strategies to eliminate waste and boost efficiency.
- Mentor machinists, assemblers, deburring, leads, and support staff to build a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, sales, quality, and supply chain to

- Manage tooling, preventive maintenance, and machine utilization to maximize uptime.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, urgency, and operational excellence.
- 7 years of CNC machining experience, including 3 years in aerospace operations leadership.
- Strong expertise in CNC machining and programming.
- Deep understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and CNC programming fundamentals.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (Epicor preferred) and production planning tools.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Education: Bachelorâs in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
- Certifications: Six Sigma, Lean, PMP, or Certified Manager (CM) preferred.
- Software: ERP systems, MS Office, CAD/CAM exposure.
- Competitive salary: $95,000 â $125,000, depending on experience.
