Job Advertisement: Soldering Technician
We are currently seeking a high-skilled and motivated Soldering Technician to join our team at Kinequip to assist in the manufacturing of complex, high-precision products for specialty vehicles, lighting and other markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-precision soldering on PCBs, connectors, and micro-components using manual and automated tools.
- Assemble and rework electronic components, including surface-mount and through-hole technologies.
- Conduct visual and microscopic inspections to verify solder joints meet IPC and customer standards.
- Diagnose and repair solder-related defects and ensure functionality of electronic assemblies.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including rework logs and quality reports.
- Recommend and implement improvements to soldering processes for efficiency and quality.
- Adhere to ESD, safety, and cleanliness standards in all work areas.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Education - High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 3–5 years in soldering and electronic assembly, including fine-pitch and high-reliability work.
- Proficiency with soldering irons, hot air stations, microscopes, and reflow equipment.
- Ability to work with small components and maintain high accuracy.
- The can-do attitude with a desire to learn new skills and tackle complex tasks in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
