What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welcome Desk Attendant position at Kinective Fitness Club?
Position Summary:
Provide inspiration, perspiration, and celebration with an exhilarating environment, an exceptional service, an uplifting experience and utter satisfaction at an unmistakable value. The Welcome Desk Attendant will provide a warm, engaging, up-beat and positive energy while serving all members, guests, and staff entering the club. This position will provide checking in members in a friendly and positive manner, processing payments and collecting past due accounts, fulfilling all check-in procedures, handling busy phones, and scheduling client appointments.
Position available:
Monday - Friday: 4:00 am - 11:00 am
As a Kinective Fitness Club team member, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Create a stellar first impression to all members & guests.
- Ensure efficient, friendly, and professional member check in, and telephone service.
- Ensure all necessary reports and forms are completed daily.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in the front desk area.
- Assist with the cleanliness of the facility
- Ability to stand or sit for up to 8 hours throughout the workday.
- Ensure that members’ time at Kinective Fitness Club is as pleasurable as possible.
- Possess and maintain thorough knowledge of Kinective Fitness Club’s services, facilities, amenities, policies, procedures, memberships, and rates.
- Provide the highest quality customer service to all members by greeting them with a welcoming, friendly, energetic, and positive attitude at all times. Use members’ names as often as possible. Ensures all members, guests and staff feel competent, confident, and connected.
- Embrace and follow the company guidelines outlined in the Kinective Training and Policy Manuals, and any applicable department-specific team manuals and handbooks.
- Respond to member concerns and/or comments in a timely and professional way.
- Arrive to work 10 minutes early. Wear department-specific uniform.
- Be a team player by contributing to both club and organizational goals.
- Maintain open and honest communication with the leadership team and company personnel; partner together as fitness professionals. Respond within 24 hours to all time-sensitive email, text, and/or phone requests.
- Participate actively in all club, department, and company meetings. Inform the team and club members of developments, promotions, activities, and upcoming events within the club and throughout the organization.
- Communicate effectively with all team members.
- Use proper chain of command and ensure the team does the same.
- Perform other duties as reasonably assigned.
Preferred Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of customer service experience
- Gym experience preferred
- Positive Attitude
- Punctual and reliable
- Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve.
- Be fluent in English, preferably Bilingual in Spanish
- Must have a wide availability range
- Knowledgeable in technology to communicate via computer, tablet, smartphone, or text
