Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Assistant Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities. Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ health by taking vital signs and observing changes in condition; report findings accurately and promptly
- Administer medications following prescribed care plans while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary
- Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs safely during transfers and mobility assistance
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and sanitation of living spaces
- Support patients with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or other memory-related conditions through specialized care techniques and patience
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and follow personalized care plans for each individual
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being and social engagement
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols including CPR, First Aid, and other relevant certifications
Skills
- Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments
- Strong knowledge of patient observation, monitoring vital signs, and recognizing emergency situations
- Familiarity with working with individuals with dementia-related conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease or memory care needs
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
- Skilled in meal preparation tailored to specific dietary restrictions or health conditions
- Experience working within care plans that include medication administration and patient monitoring
- Compassionate attitude combined with patience, adaptability, and strong organizational skills
- Valid certifications such as CPR and First Aid; Home Care Aid Registry; Negative TB Test; Covid Vaccine.
