ABOUT US AT KINDER'S:
How you'll have an impact at Kinder's: You will play a key role supporting Kinder's by managing ingredient, supplier, and partner documentation and by ensuring that all critical documentation is managed, updated, and organized for reference by the cross-functional team. This is a highly critical position and will be relied upon by many of Kinder's colleagues.
What You'll Be Doing:
We are looking for a highly detail-oriented Documentation Specialist to create/gather, organize, coordinate and maintain the Kinder's Ingredients, Packaging and Food Safety and Quality Assurance documentation/information in our database.
- Develop and maintain all relevant documentation for ingredients, packaging and finished products used in Kinder's product line.
- Maintain and update food safety and quality documentation including SOPs, HACCP plans, GMPs, SSOPs, and audit records.
- Supplier documentation collection and organization in online systems.
- Supplier documentation review and approval.
- Ensure that key Supplier and Coman facility information is maintained and current.
- Work cross-functionally with Kinder's sourcing and product development team to ensure that documentation prioritization is complete and highly coordinated.
- Develop, build and maintain strong relationships with Kinder's suppliers and manufacturers.
- Work closely across Product Development, Sourcing and Supply Chain teams to ensure compliance from start to finish.
- Support the Quality Assurance team in a broad range of functions
What You Bring to the Table:

Skills and Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Food Science or a related field is preferred, however "on the job" experience managing databases is highly valued.
- At least 2-4 years in a Quality Assurance role or Documentation role within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong computer skills and confidence with databases for organizing is critical.
- Experience with electronic QMS platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience in TraceGains is preferred but not require.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and standards (FSMA, HACCP, GFSI)

The position will be based out of our 70,000 sq. foot office in Walnut Creek, CA. We strongly believe in the power of culture and community and have a hybrid work structure with 4 days in the office on a weekly basis to encourage collaboration and personal connections that will allow us to better serve our customers and consumer and to have more fun. We have 1 flex day per week with employees having the opportunity to choose to be either in the office or to work from home based on what makes most sense for them.
