Position Summary
Responsible for balancing closing disclosures and sending initial and final loan Documents to the closing agent. Inputting and validating Borrower and loan information to insure a compliant loan is closed. Closers are also responsible for initiating funding approval and delivering funds. Other duties as assigned.
The individual must be able to concentrate in an open and fast-paced environment, have a high degree of accuracy, and be able to work well under pressure.
The individual must have strong communication skills and be able to develop relationships with co-workers, attorneys, and title companies.
Must be able to prioritize, follow instructions, take direction from others, and work well alone or in a group.
Must be familiar with general mortgage terms, can recognize, and understands the documents required in the processing and closing of mortgage loans.
Responsibilities
The starting base pay range for this position is $31.00/hr. The actual base is dependent on many factors such as: work experience, business needs, market demands, and other compensation components. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Responsibilities
- Closers are responsible for balancing closing disclosures and sending initial and final loan documents to the closing agent.
- Closers are also responsible for initiating funding approval and delivering funds.
- Prepare and deliver Loan Document packages within all disclosure compliance, state, and federal regulations.
- Input all information using the KLIK2 System – verify all the info is correct in the system and send the CD to the Broker and Title for review.
- Review the SARA report to ensure no changes.
- Review the loan to prepare for closing. Pull all necessary documents:
- CD Request Form
- SS, HOI, Title, CPL, Wire instructions, Tax Cert
- All invoices (Trust docs, MI Cert and or FHA/VA Docs if applicable) to ensure they are accurate, up to date and within compliance. Request additional docs if necessary.
- Collaborate with title to balance the CD along with updating the fees to ensure fees are accurate and within tolerance.
- Balance the wire and send a wire breakdown & attestation letter with package.
- Send the package with any additional docs needed.
- Follow up with Post-closing issues.
- Input Warehouse Bank Information along with verifying the wire instructions and the closing date are accurate. Request wire internally via KLIK2.
- Net fees on funding | Over wire or net funded.
- Threshold Requirements: 6 Fundings Daily.
- The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in Funding and Closing Document Preparation, or a combination thereof.
- Demonstrated strong knowledge of the mortgage industry.
- Must have excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and be a self-motivated individual.
- Problem solver with excellent analytical skills.
- High school diploma or GED required.
