Job Title: Custodial Tech

Department: Maintenance Operations

Pay Type: Hourly

Job Summary: Responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and removing solid waste from all main campus facilities.

Essential Job Functions:

• Maintains the cleanliness of all office, restrooms, meeting, and fitness areas
• Performs mopping, waxing, scrubbing, sweeping and vacuuming of flooring
• Stocks and supplies all necessary supplies and consumables required to maintain sanitary conditions
• Carries out other tasks designated by Custodial Supervisor and Lead Person
• Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or a Health Safety and Environmental team member
• Participates in proactive teams to achieve departmental and company goals
• Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 0-2 years previous experience preferred
• Ability to use a pallet jack and hand truck
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean MVR
• Must pass background check and drug screen

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Work Environment:

•  Exposure to seasonal cold and heat
• Consistent skin exposure to oils, greases, adhesives, paints and other chemicals
• Frequent exposure to oscillating movement of extremities or whole body, proximity to mechanical parts, moving vehicles and electrical currents.
• Continuous exposure to atmospheric conditions that may affect the respiratory system
• PPE required in specific areas

Physical Requirements:

• Continuous standing, walking, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling
• Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
