Wire Harness AssemblerLocation: Long Beach, CaPay Rate: $30/hourSchedule: Monday - Friday Role SummaryAs a Wire Harness Assembler, you will fabricate, assemble, and test wiring harnesses that form the backbone of electrical systems in our spacecraft/platforms. You’ll work from engineering diagrams, wiring lists, and blueprints to build harnesses that meet exacting quality, reliability, and safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret assembly drawings, wiring lists, harness boards/fixtures, and work orders. Select wire of specified color/length, strip insulation, crimp and/or solder terminals, insert connectors, route wires and tie-or-bind bundles. Use harness assembly boards/fixtures (peg-boards), follow color-coding and sequence, apply tie-wraps, conduit, tubing, sealant where applicable. Test for continuity, correct terminalization, proper routing, shrink-tubing or protective covering.Maintain documentation of test results, defect/repair records, and support quality metrics. Maintain clean, safe work area, follow company ESD, safety, and environmental protocols.Occasionally assist with wire harness installation in assemblies or collaborate with mechanical/engineering teams as needed.Skills & QualificationsRequired:High school diploma or GED (or equivalent practical experience). Good manual dexterity, capable of using hand tools (wire stripper, crimper, soldering iron) and some semi-automatic equipment.Ability to read diagrams, wiring instructions, work orders.Color discernment (for wire insulation) and comfortable working with small parts.Detail-oriented with strong quality mindset.Preferred / Nice-to-Have:Previous experience in wire harness assembly (aerospace, telecom, industrial) — 1–2 years preferred.Soldering, crimping, terminalization experience.Basic computer literacy for work orders/test data entry.Knowledge of ESD protocols, harness routing practices, aerospace standards.Physical & Working ConditionsMay require standing, reaching, bending, or working at a bench for extended periods. Ability to lift/move moderate weights (e.g., up to ~30-50 lb) depending on assembly process. Environmental conditions: manufacturing floor with moderate noise; blueprint/diagram reading requires good vision and close-work ability.Clean room or partially controlled environment may apply, depending on product (for aerospace work).PandoLogic.
