Senior Property Accounting Manager

Located in Irvine with a hybrid schedule (2 days in office)

Pay up to $160,000 plus bonus

Must have public audit accounting experience supporting, CPA is preferred.

We are seeking a Senior Property Accounting Manager to oversee financial reporting for a diverse real estate investment portfolio. This position does not manage staff but focuses on reviewing and analyzing financials prepared by third-party property management accounting teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting expertise and the ability to evaluate financial statements for accuracy are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with third-party managers to coordinate deliverables, monitor performance trends, and provide accounting guidance.
• Review and analyze financial statements from third-party property managers.
• Prepare variance and flux analyses for assigned portfolios.
• Support property acquisitions by reviewing legal and financial documentation and integrating new assets into reporting.
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and system improvements.
• Research and apply accounting standards under US GAAP and IFRS.
• Contribute to SEC reporting through commentary and supporting data for quarterly and annual filings.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5 years of accounting experience.
• Public accounting/audit background required (public-private mix preferred, but strong public-only experience will be considered).
• Experience reviewing third-party prepared financials is a plus.
