Senior Accountant - Immediate Need for a great company that can offer growth

Long term temporary position for 6 months, with strong possibility of temp to hire

Pay: $45–$48 per hour

Location: Can work in Costa Mesa or Long Beach office

We are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant for a 6 month temporary assignment. This role requires strong general ledger experience, solid bank reconciliation skills, and the ability to step in and contribute quickly. The ideal candidate is motivated, proactive, and eager to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant:

• Handle general ledger activities, including reconciliations and account analysis
• Prepare and review detailed bank reconciliations
• Support month-end close tasks and ensure accurate financial reporting
• Research variances and provide clear explanations for management
• Assist with journal entries, schedules, and supporting documentation
• Collaborate with the accounting team to improve processes and maintain accuracy
• Take ownership of assigned tasks with a positive, can-do approach

Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
• 4 years of full cycle GL accounting experience in a large corporate setting
• Strong Excel skills (vlookup/pivot tables)
• Strong general ledger accounting background
• Extensive bank reconciliation experience
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
• Motivated, adaptable, and eager to take on new responsibilities
