DescriptionAs an Accountant at Impulse, you will create processes and procedures to prepare and maintain the accounting and financial records in accordance with US GAAP. This role will report directly to the Senior Accounting Manager. The role will require familiarity with internal controls and processes over all accounting areas.ResponsibilitiesPrepare, review, and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsOversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and close processesEnsure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirementsLead and support internal and external audits, including preparation of audit documentationManage and improve accounting processes, controls, and systemsAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysisAnalyze financial results and explain variances to managementCoordinate tax preparation and filings with internal teams or external advisorsPartner with cross-functional teams to support business initiativesIdentify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gainsSupport special accounting projects and system implementations as neededMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field3 years of of accounting or bookkeeping experience3 years of demonstrated understanding of accounting principles and financial reportingstandards (GAAP)\Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software(e.g., QuickBooks, Infor Syteline, Coupa, or similar)Preferred Skills and Experience3 years of demonstrated accounting experience within a manufacturing environment3 years of accounting experience within the aerospace, or new-space industry Experience or coursework in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger supportStrong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail Good organizational and time-management skillsAbility to work both independently and in a team environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsHigh level of integrity and professionalism when handling confidential informationProgress toward a professional accounting certification (CPA) is a plusAdditional Information:Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan. Impulse Space’s spacecraft manufacturing business is subject to U.S. export regulations including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Salary : $25 - $35
