JOB SUMMARY: The Quotes Specialist is responsible for driving the timely and accurate processing of electronic product quotes. This role combines administrative skill, analytical thinking, and strong mathematical aptitude to review technical data, interface with customers, and lead quoting workflows. In addition to individual quoting duties, this position helps guide Quotes Associates and Account Managers, ensures process adherence, and manages supplier RFQs.
This position requires the use of information that is subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and /or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
Candidates must meet eligibility requirements for access to export-restricted information.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Quote Package Processing: Review, organize, and evaluate incoming documentation packages, including RFQs, Bills of Materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, and technical files.
- Workflow Oversight & Mentorship: Facilitate workload distribution to Quotes Associates and Program Managers, prioritizing tasks to ensure deadlines are met. Mentor team members on standard operating procedures and audit quote quality.
- Supplier & Customer Liaison: Convert customer BOMs into standardized Excel/quoting formats, create and submit RFQs to suppliers, and handle interdepartmental and customer communications at all levels.
- Data Management & Reporting: Perform data entry into databases and Excel, maintain internal tracking reports, and generate quote letters and status updates.
- Process Documentation: Maintain and update the Quotes Procedures Manual to reflect new, modified, or updated operational workflows.
