JOB SUMMARY: Position operates the AOI machine and reviews identified defects for accuracy.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review AOI inspection for accurate, consistent detection of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) paste, component placement and solder joint defects.
- Load programs per documentation.
- Visually inspect PC boards to confirm acceptable soldering
- Using magnification aids and inspect populated printed circuit boards and identify component misplacement and solder defects to IPC-A-610 standards.
- Ability to recognize problems in the operation process or with components and to highlight/communicate those problems to machine operator for immediate correction.
- Alert production operations of any ongoing defects in products
- Ability to sit for most of the working day.
- Must be able to read and understand process sheets (work routers), V.A (visual aids), assembly drawings, component identification and component polarity.
- Basic PC Knowledge.
- Work within other areas of department when needed.
- Performs intermediate level preventative maintenance on machinery.
- Responsible to keep the equipment clean and in good working order.
- Enters transactions into computer, completes logs and records as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Salary : $42,091 - $54,267
