Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, listen to their vehicle concerns, and provide clear explanations of recommended services.
- Write detailed service orders and estimates using auto estimating software, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
- Coordinate with technicians to diagnose issues using automotive diagnostics tools and mechanical knowledge.
- Promote additional services such as oil changes, tire service, brake repair, alignments, suspension work, shocks & struts, transmission repairs, diesel engine repairs, air brake systems, and auto body repairs.
- Upsell appropriate maintenance and repair services to enhance vehicle performance and safety while meeting dealership sales goals.
- Manage cash handling procedures accurately and efficiently during transactions.
- Maintain thorough documentation of all customer interactions, service write-ups, and repair orders for quality assurance.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience or prior auto service management background is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on mechanic experience or service technician background.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, auto estimating software, and service writing processes.
- Knowledge of automotive repair specialties including transmissions, oil changes, brake systems, alignments, suspension components, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repair.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
- Ability to upsell services tactfully while prioritizing customer needs.
- Experience in auto sales or automobile sales is a plus but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
