Position: Engineering Technician
Position Description: Entry-level engineering technician position, 0-5 years experience, High School diploma or GED required. Daily local travel and occasional out of town travel required.
The Engineering Technician position operates in the field and laboratory, including limited supervised engineering activities with supervised and non-supervised technician duties.

Position Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Class D driver's license and pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
Typical Responsibilities:
Complete standard laboratory testing
(Gradations, Plasticity Indexes, Proctors, Moisture Contents, Specific Gravity, Specimen Preparation)
Complete field testing as assigned
(Sample Pickup, Concrete Testing, Masonry Testing, Rebar Inspection, DCP Testing, Hand/Power Augers, Pavement Coring, Boring Staking, Utility Coordination, Test Pits, Pile Load Testing, Field Electrical Resistivity Testing)
Maintain equipment and calibrations
Data management, including daily field reports, boring plans, photo logs, etc.
Work in a variety of conditions, including loud areas, outdoors, office settings, and transport
Ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds repeatedly for 1/2 to all of daily hours
Maintain communication logs for project manager and BD support
Reports to: President, Vice President, Project Manager, or Project Engineer as appropriate
Supervises: May supervise interns or other engineering technicians, depending on experience
Metrics: Minimum Training Hours per quarter for growth
Minimum Billable Time 90%
Complete Assigned quarterly Rocks
Quantifiable Skills (tests and certs) per quarter for growth
MnDOT, ACI, ICC, and other training certifications
Job Types: Part-time, Internship
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
