What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Technician position at Professional Engineering Services, LTD?
PE Services is growing and we would love for you to be a part of it.
We are looking for a Full-time CAD Technician to assist our great team with infrastructure construction projects, as well as existing site surveys.
Some Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Drafting civil construction plans.
- Supports engineering teams by performing technical tasks that require basic knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Utilizes digital tools, design software (CAD, BIM, MicroStation, 3D tools, etc.), and standardized procedures to assist in the creation, modification, and maintenance of technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables.
- Potential to create company-wide drafting standards.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of construction plans and specifications.
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in engineering design.
- Proficiency in current versions of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Arch GIS, Excel, Word, MicroStation
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with project team members and clients
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness
- A flexible working style and the ability to work independently and with teams of specialists to meet client and project needs
- Proven task management skills, including scheduling, prioritizing, and following up
The hourly rate for this role will be between $32 to $40 based on experience.
