What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Coordinator position at Kilo Automation, LLC?
Kilo Automation is looking for a Safety Coordinator! This is a field-based role working with crews, subcontractors, and leadership to promote safe work practices, maintain compliance, and help strengthen our overall safety program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct jobsite safety visits, inspections, and observations
- Implement and maintain company HSE policies and procedures
- Help develop and continuously improve safety policies and processes
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and client requirements
- Maintain compliance through ISNetworld, Veriforce, and similar platforms
- Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee training
- Support new-hire onboarding and safety orientations
- Track employee certifications, training records, and compliance requirements
- Assist with incident investigations, reporting, and corrective actions
- Work with subcontractors to meet company and site-specific safety requirements
- Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation
- Identify jobsite hazards and help implement corrective and preventative actions
- Partner with field teams and leadership to strengthen safety culture and performance
Preferred Experience & Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of construction, industrial, or field safety experience preferred
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards
- CHST or OHST certification preferred
- ASP certification is a plus
- Experience with ISNetworld, Veriforce, or similar compliance platforms preferred
- Oil & gas, industrial automation, electrical, or construction experience preferred
- Comfortable working in active construction and industrial environments
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
- Ability to take initiative and contribute to safety programs and processes
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to travel between job sites throughout South Texas
