About the Role:

The Growth Intern will support Kiln’s Growth Team in evaluating and executing new locations and strategic growth initiatives across the U.S. The team works directly with executive leadership and cross-functional partners in Finance, Build, Design, and Operations on market expansion, acquisitions, real estate investments, and new products and concepts.

The Intern will work closely with the VP of Growth and Growth Analyst, gaining hands-on experience in market analysis, underwriting, deal execution, and strategy.

As a Real Estate & Growth Strategy Intern You will:

• Support financial underwriting and scenario analysis for new locations, acquisitions, and other strategic opportunities
• Conduct market and site research, including demographics, competitive positioning, landlord analysis, and location feasibility
• Support LOI and lease negotiations by tracking key business terms, economics, diligence items, and outstanding deal points
• Maintain and analyze Kiln’s growth pipeline, including deal status, key metrics, development priorities, and cross-functional milestones
• Prepare analyses, dashboards, and presentation materials to support executive leadership and investment decisions
• Coordinate deal documentation, meeting follow-ups, and cross-functional action items to keep active opportunities organized and moving forward

As a Real Estate & Growth Strategy Intern You’ll Need:

• Current junior or senior pursuing a degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or a related field
• Strong financial modeling, Excel, data analysis, and problem-solving skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines
• Comfortable operating in ambiguous or unstructured environments, taking ownership, and bringing structure to evolving priorities
• Curious, resourceful, and creative in identifying ways to improve processes, leverage AI and emerging tools, and increase team efficiency
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
• Interest in real estate, investing, corporate strategy, entrepreneurship, or high-growth companies, with strong alignment to Kiln’s mission and values

Preferred: Prior experience or coursework in financial modeling, real estate underwriting, market research, lease analysis, M&A, or other transaction-oriented work
