Join Our Tasting Room Team
Killdeer Distilling is opening a new tasting room in Nye Beach, Newport and we’re looking for a friendly, engaging Tasting Room Associate to help us introduce our craft spirits to the community and visiting guests.
You will be part of launching a new location and help establish our presence in Nye Beach/Newport, Oregon. The right person will enjoy meeting new people, sharing stories about craft spirits, learning about craft spirits, and helping build awareness of the brand.
If you have experience in hospitality—retail, restaurants, hotels, bars, wineries, breweries, or tasting rooms—and enjoy working in person with people and know craft spirits, or want to learn about it, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Do
- Host and guide guests through craft spirits tastings
- Provide a warm, welcoming experience for visitors
- Share information about our spirits, distilling process, and brand
- Process bottle and merchandise sales through our POS system
- Maintain a clean and organized tasting room
- Restock bottles, glassware, and tasting supplies
- Follow all OLCC alcohol service regulations
- As we grow there will be opportunities to help us build a bottle club, work on marketing materials and social media, and represent Killdeer at festivals/events .
What We’re Looking For
- Outgoing personality and strong customer service skills
- Experience in restaurants, bars, wineries, breweries, or tasting rooms preferred
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently
- Interest in learning about craft spirits and the distilling industry
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Weekend availability required
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must have or be able to obtain an OLCC Server Permit (we will pay the cost of obtaining the permit)
- Able to stand and interact with guests for extended periods
- Hours are typically 12-5pm
