Position Summary:
Our title company is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal/Title Company Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous office experience, excellent customer service skills, and strong computer proficiency. This position supports the title and closing process by preparing documents, maintaining accurate records, assisting clients, and ensuring transactions are completed efficiently. Part-time scheduling is available for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and organize documents related to real estate transactions, title work, and closings.
- Create, edit, and manage legal and administrative documents using Microsoft Office and title software.
- Accurately enter and maintain transaction information in computer databases.
- Communicate professionally with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, attorneys, and other parties involved in transactions.
- Provide exceptional customer service in person, by phone, and via email.
- Schedule closings and assist with coordinating all parties involved.
- Maintain organized electronic and paper files while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Review documents for completeness and assist with meeting closing deadlines.
- Perform general office duties, including answering phones, filing, scanning, and processing incoming and outgoing documents.
- Assist with additional administrative and transaction-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous office experience required.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general computer applications.
- Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Experience creating and formatting professional documents.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Experience in a title company, real estate office, legal office, or mortgage industry is preferred but not required.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
