JOB SUMMARY:
The primary focus is supporting the accounting team with preparing, analyzing and verifying the company financial records. The Accounting Assistant will work closely with accounting staff to ensure the accurate and timely accounting of all transactions and ensure that proper procedures and internal controls are in place.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
· Process work order entries.
· Record internal cash receipts.
· Reconcile general ledger accounts and other financial records.
· Assist in month-end and year-end close processes.
· Prepare and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and expense reports.
· Maintain organized accounting files and documentation.
· Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
· Maintain schedules required for audit.
· Assist with audits and tax filings as required.
· Assist with annual 1099 filings.
· Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial discrepancies.
· Continuously identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
