Custodian

The Custodian will execute day to day cleaning and organizing for Kiefer Aquatics, a swim industry leader. This is a full time position, 5 days per week. Some overtime may be required.

Essential Functions/Primary Duties:

• Cleaning & maintaining restrooms
• Dusting warehouse and offices
• Collecting trash
• Vacuuming offices
• Keeping outside of building picked up
• Keeping walkways clear of ice and snow
• Efficiently clean warehouse floors with floor machine
• Support warehouse operations with trash clean up, sweeping, etc.
• Assist with the breaking down of boxes
• Operation of the corrugated baler
• Other general warehouse duties may be assisted from time to time
• Light maintenance duties such as changing light bulbs
• Set up/tear down company events

Education/Experience:

• Basic understanding/prior experience in warehouse custodial work helpful

Working Conditions:

The work environment includes frequent changes in temperature depending on outdoor climate and occasional loud noises with no exposure to hazardous materials. Working environment includes fork trucks and robots.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This is a non-supervisory position.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this position are representative of those that must be met in order to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Requires significant walking – get your steps in!
• Regularly required to stand for long periods of time, kneel, climb, twist, move about the warehouse, and push, pull, and lift in excess of 50 pounds, including lifting above shoulder level
• Regularly required to use hands and fingers to feel, touch, or handle objects and tools and reach with hands and arms
• Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a flexible full-time, day shift position with work hours of Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm available with possible weekends.
