Someone who fosters respectful relationships with your teammates, goal setting, follow up and uses guidance techniques to ensure program tasks are completed effectively.Wage ranges from $20 - $24 per hour depending on education, training, and experienceDutiesMust have professional communication skills verbal, handwritten and technology skills, handle challenges or issues promptly and respectfully to maintain team cohesion and productivity. Must be able to engage positively with families in person, or on our social media page. Respond efficiently to emails, bright wheel messages during program hours to ensure transparency and trust. Communicate regularly with Site Lead, Behavior Specialist and Program Development Specialist to assist in implementing changes if needed. Must feel comfortable doing teacher observations, evaluations or any other program documentation. Must be able to implement daily activities, fitness fun, curriculum while providing time for the Lead teacher to engage in observations and Gold data entry weekly or as needed. Mentoring Lead Teachers with confidence, assisting in making environment changes or enhancements, or helping with parent/teacher conferences. Assist with maintenance or cleaning responsibilities to maintain a safe and healthy environment. Must participate in staff meetings, in service trainings, program trainings that could include after hours trainings/meetings. Must be committed to ongoing professional development and enrichment learning in Early childhood education. Must show respect with confidentiality, display integrity and use sound professional judgement.ResponsibilitiesUtilize TSG, implement cultural and diverse practices and our self-regulation SEL Spots program.Adhere to State WAC and Health Regulations, KidZone handbook policies, Early Achievers Standards.Engage in classroom meal times.Must assist in wellness checks when needed.Aid injured children or ill children.Follow proper diaper changing procedures.Document all incidents, accidents, and other mandatory running logs.Must be flexible, may occasionally fill in for an absent teacher and all their tasks, may be asked to help at another location due to short staffing.Attend staff meetings or trainings during work hours or after work hours.Maintain a tidy classroom and participate in regular Center cleaning responsibilities.Encouraged to participate in team bonding events, projects or competitions.Uphold positive disciplinary strategies and other techniques to assist our children in using appropriate behavior.RequirementsThis position requires training, knowledge and staying in compliance with the Department of Early Learning requirements, Early Achievers expectations, the Tiered Pyramid Model for challenging behaviors, Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum and Gold Data collecting, ASQ-3 and ASQ-SE Screeners, and though we are not NAEYC affiliated we follow NAEYC standards. All KidZone policies and procedures must be followed as well. Must have an understanding of Child development and trauma informed care.Training is available in inventory practices such as using action plans, Quality Benchmark evaluations for Lead Staff.
