We are seeking a faith-filled, collaborative, and visionary Early Learning Center (ELC) Director / Lead Teacher to lead and grow our early childhood program. This individual will serve as both an instructional leader and program director, ensuring a high-quality, developmentally appropriate, and faith-centered experience for our youngest learners. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, committed to excellence, and skilled in building strong relationships with children, families, and staff.

Position Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Administration

• Provide leadership and oversight for the Early Learning Center, including program development, implementation, and continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with all state licensing requirements and Archdiocesan policies
• Supervise, support, and evaluate ELC staff, fostering a collaborative and professional culture
• Manage enrollment, scheduling, and communication with prospective and current families
• Partner with the principal and school leadership team to align the ELC with the broader school mission and vision
  
  

Instructional Leadership & Teaching

• Model and implement developmentally appropriate practices for early learners
• Plan and/or support engaging, play-based, and standards-aligned instruction
• Integrate Catholic values and faith formation into daily routines and classroom experiences
• Create a nurturing, safe, and structured environment that supports social-emotional and academic growth
• Support and reinforce Holy Family School's Schoolwide Learning Expectations (SLEs):
• Grow in Faith
• Achieve Academic Excellence
• Live as Christian Citizens
  

Assessment & Program Quality

• Monitor student development and readiness using developmentally appropriate assessment tools
• Use data to guide instruction and program improvements
• Maintain accurate student records and program documentation
  
  

School Culture & Collaboration

• Participate actively in school-wide initiatives, faith experiences, and community events
• Collaborate with PK–8 staff to ensure alignment and strong transitions for students
• Model professionalism, positivity, and a commitment to Catholic education
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Washington State teaching certification and/or ECE certification (or ability to obtain)
• Experience in early childhood education required; leadership or administrative experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of Washington State licensing requirements for early learning programs
• Commitment to Catholic education and willingness to support the mission of Holy Family School
• Practicing Catholic preferred (or strong respect for Catholic teachings and values)
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Deep understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
  
  

Salary

Range: $22.00-$29.00 per hour.

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
