Responsibilities:
- Assist the Center Director in all administrative, operational, and compliance functions.
- Supervise and mentor staff: hiring, onboarding, scheduling, coaching, and performance management.
- Maintain strong parent communication and address concerns promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with OCFS regulations, safety standards, and licensing requirements.
- Conduct classroom observations and monitor curriculum implementation.
- Manage operational tasks such as attendance records, supply ordering, and inventory management.
- Oversee regulatory programs (Aspire, CACFP, QualityStarsNY).
- Plan and lead monthly staff meetings, trainings, and engagement activities.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming facility for children, families, and staff.
Qualifications:
- Prior management experience in child care / early childhood education.
- CDA credential or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of NYS OCFS regulations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
