Duties
- Assist head coaches in planning and executing sports training sessions across various disciplines such as soccer, basketball, cheerleading, climbing, martial arts (including karate and judo), and more
- Support the supervision of children during practices and games, ensuring safety and proper behavior management at all times
- Lead warm-up activities, skill drills, and small-sided games to promote physical development and teamwork
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and program updates
- Operate safety equipment such as AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) during emergencies and assist in first aid or CPR when needed
- Encourage sportsmanship, positive attitude, and respect among participants to foster a supportive environment
- Collaborate with team members to monitor participant engagement and adapt coaching strategies accordingly
Skills
- Previous experience working with children in sports or childcare settings is highly valued
- Strong knowledge of sports-specific training instruction across multiple disciplines including soccer coaching, basketball, cheerleading, climbing, martial arts (karate and judo), and general physical education
- Lifeguard experience with CPR and first aid certification ensures readiness for emergency situations
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
- Proven ability to lead teams with enthusiasm while maintaining discipline through behavior management techniques
- Experience operating AEDs and responding promptly to health-related incidents
- Background in sports team leadership or coaching enhances your ability to motivate young athletes
- Familiarity with health club or gym environments is a plus for understanding fitness fundamentals
