Nursing Transportation Aide

KidsPeace in Ellsworth, Maine, is seeking a Nursing Transportation Aide to safely transport children in our care to medical appointments and provide professional support to our nursing and medical teams. This role plays a key part in ensuring the safety, health, and well-being of every child we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport children to and from medical appointments on time.
• Communicate medical updates to providers and nursing staff.
• Supervise children during transport and while in the community, ensuring their safety and care.
• Provide minor first aid as needed.
• Schedule appointments, complete required documentation, and maintain accurate medical records.
• Order and restock medical supplies; assist with medication packing as needed.
• Communicate clearly and sensitively with children according to their clinical and emotional needs.
• Perform crisis intervention and restraints when necessary, using approved KidsPeace methods.
• Collect and input medical data and prepare reports as requested.
• Provide training and support to fellow employees, and assist remote sites as needed.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree in mental health or related field preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) certification (training provided).
• Strong communication, organizational, and crisis intervention skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Schedule: Monday -Friday 8:00AM-4:00PM

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $20.50 per hour
