• Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine client needs and treatment plans
• Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing modalities such as psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and play based therapy
• Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute mental health episodes effectively and ensure client safety, while referring clients to appropriate levels of care.
• Facilitate intake processes for new clients, including medical documentation, HIPAA compliance, and detailed patient records management
• Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating social work/counseling principles, behavior management techniques, and case management strategies
• Provide specialized counseling for issues such as selective mutism, feeding difficulties, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care in outpatient clinics or inpatient settings while maintaining accurate medical terminology documentation and CPT coding for billing purposes
• Utilize telehealth platforms to extend access to mental health services while adhering to all regulatory standards

Experience

• Proven experience in clinical counseling within outpatient or inpatient settings with a focus on behavioral health or mental health therapy
• Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and play based therapy
• Hands-on experience working with children and adolescents
• Knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation and billing procedures
• Familiarity with crisis management protocols and crisis intervention techniques for managing acute mental health episodes, while referring to appropriate level of care
• Experience conducting intake assessments and developing individualized treatment plans aligned with HIPAA regulations
• Telehealth experience is preferred to support remote patient care delivery effectively
• Strong understanding of medical terminology related to behavioral health services and experience managing medical records securely
