Position Summary
The Occupational Therapist conducts occupational therapy evaluations, develops individualized treatment plans, delivers direct therapy services, and supervises OTAs. The OT applies occupation-based, evidence-based interventions to support clients in achieving functional participation in daily life activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations assessing sensory processing, fine and gross motor development, activities of daily living, visual-motor integration, and functional participation
• Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable, occupation-based goals in collaboration with the client, family, and interdisciplinary team
• Provide direct therapy services in accordance with the treatment plan, authorized hours, and SoonerCare or insurance coverage
• Supervise OTAs per Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision requirements and AOTA standards
• Complete all clinical documentation in the Rethink EMR — evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries — within required timelines
• Ensure documentation is objective, measurable, and consistent with services billed
• Collaborate with BCBA and SLP team members, school personnel, and families as part of the interdisciplinary team
• Participate in IEP meetings and school-based service delivery as applicable
• Coordinate authorization renewals for assigned caseload with the Authorization Coordinator
• Maintain Oklahoma OT licensure and NBCOT certification through required continuing education Comply with the AOTA Code of Ethics at all times
Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications
• Master's degree or doctoral degree in occupational therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program
• Current, active Oklahoma OT license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision
• Current NBCOT certification
• Experience with pediatric populations including sensory processing disorders, autism, and developmental delays preferred
• No active disciplinary sanctions on Oklahoma license or NBCOT certification
• Clearance of all required background checks and OIG/SAM.gov exclusion screens
Oklahoma Credential Requirement
Must hold a current, active OT license from the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision and current NBCOT certification. Credential status is verified at hire.
