As a Teacher Assistant, you will work alongside classroom teachers and a team of caring professionals to create engaging learning experiences, encourage developmental growth, and celebrate each child's progress. You will help children strengthen their cognitive, social-emotional, communication, and motor skills through structured activities, play, and individualized support.

What You'll Do
As a Teacher Assistant, you will:
- Assist the classroom teacher with daily lessons, activities, and routines.
- Create positive and engaging experiences for children.
- Help children develop cognitive, social-emotional, communication, and motor skills.
- Provide individualized encouragement and support based on each child's needs.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom.
- Actively supervise children throughout the day.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, nurses, and families.
- Celebrate children's milestones and help prepare them for greater independence and success.
Education and Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred.
- At least one year of successful classroom experience working with children, particularly children with developmental delays or disabilities, is preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- A genuine passion for working with children and families.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with children, families, coworkers, and leadership.
- Ability to work with children from birth through age 18, including children and families who may be at risk.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a busy, team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with databases, word processing, spreadsheets, and internet-based programs.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to use sound judgment and practical problem-solving skills.
- Basic written communication and math skills.
