About This Role

Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of private households or commercial establishments such as a preschool through a variety of cleaning tasks, adhering to health and safety standards.

The role may also involve assisting with other tasks, including food preparation, cafeteria cleaning, and classroom support as needed.

What You'll Do

• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that they are in a clean and healthy state.
• Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies to maintain a well-stocked and organized environment.
• Empty wastebaskets, clean ashtrays, and transport trash and waste to disposal areas, ensuring a clean and sanitary environment.
• Replenish supplies, and bathroom essentials to maintain a fully equipped and organized space.
• Keep storage areas and carts tidy and well-maintained, ensuring a clutter-free and organized environment.
• Dust and polish furniture and equipment to maintain a clean and shiny appearance.
• Sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors using a variety of equipment and cleaning solutions.
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleaners and shampooers to maintain a clean and fresh appearance.
• Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, applying a finish as needed to maintain a clean and polished appearance.
• Hang draperies and dust window blinds to maintain a clean and tidy appearance.
• Disinfect equipment and supplies, using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
• Assist with childcare duties such as overseeing activities, providing companionship, and assisting with dressing, bathing, eating, and other needs.
• Clean kitchens, cooking utensils, and silverware to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
• Remove debris from driveways, garages, and swimming pool areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Sort clothing and other articles, load washing machines, and iron and fold dried items to maintain a clean and organized laundry area.
• Run errands, such as taking laundry to the cleaners and buying groceries to maintain a clean and well-stocked environment.
• Sort, count, and mark clean linens and store them in linen closets to maintain a clean and organized storage area.
• Polish silver accessories and metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings to maintain a clean and shiny appearance.
• Prepare rooms for meetings and arrange decorations, media equipment, and furniture for social or business functions.
• Replace light bulbs to maintain a safe and functional environment.
• Follow employer's instructions and guidelines to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
