Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, emphasizing literacy, math, physical activity, and social-emotional learning.
• Lead classroom activities that promote child development, including toddler care, preschool teaching, and early intervention strategies.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques to create an engaging learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, address concerns, and foster collaborative relationships.
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and staff, ensuring adherence to curriculum development guidelines and classroom management best practices.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations such as first aid and CPR certifications, and childcare licensing requirements.
• Utilize classroom experience and child development instruction expertise to assess individual student needs and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children across various age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers.
• Strong background in early childhood education, childhood development, special education, or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum content that supports literacy education, math skills, physical education, and overall child welfare.
• Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication and team collaboration.
• Prior classroom management experience with a focus on behavior management techniques.
• Knowledge of standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment.
• Certifications in first aid and CPR are required; additional credentials in early intervention or special education are preferred.
• Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children is a plus.
