Duties
- Develop and implement dynamic curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
- Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring smooth transitions and effective behavior management to promote positive social interactions.
- Assess individual child development progress through observations and standardized testing when appropriate; tailor instruction to meet diverse learning needs, including special education and early intervention strategies.
- Foster strong communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on child welfare, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and uphold child safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary lessons, organize extracurricular activities like tutoring or physical education, and support overall classroom management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; familiarity with toddler care is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention practices.
- Experience developing curriculum content across subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom dynamics efficiently while fostering a nurturing environment.
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment tools.
- Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields; experience with special education or child welfare is a plus.
