Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and engaging environment for young children. This role involves working with toddlers and preschool-aged children, providing them with educational experiences that promote their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Engage children in activities that promote their physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement strategies.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to support children's development and address any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the daycare setting.
Requirements
- Early Childhood Education related field is preferred
- Experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children is essential.
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively with children of varying abilities, including those with disabilities.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Previous experience in nannying or similar child care roles is advantageous.
- A genuine passion for educating young children and fostering their development in a daycare setting.
