Job Description
Cozy Childcare & Learning Center is looking for a PreK Assistant Teacher to manage 4 Years old classroom along with PreK Lead teacher at our center located at Hephzibah or Augusta GA. Successful candidate will have experience in managing PreK classroom. You should display a friendly demeanor, have love for children and strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment for both children and parents.
Please note you get about 28 paid Holidays PTO a year as part of benefits for this job.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe, happy, and stimulating environment for children and parents
- Teaching, Managing, Planning and Supervising kids and classroom
- Prepare Lesson Plans and Daily Activity schedule for classroom
- Setup classroom as per weekly curriculum, theme and lesson plans
- Sign In / Sign Out kids from classroom
- Maintain cleanliness of the classroom and other areas as assigned
- Maintain professional appearance, attitude and work ethic at all times.
- Be a team player, demonstrate flexibility and willing to help team members
- Greeting kids and parents with a smile and positive attitude
- Communicate with children, colleagues & families. Develop relationship with them.
- Taking Payments from Parents. Follow up on weekly tuition and billing.
- Day to Day daycare operations, Open and Close Center.
- Answer and address phone inquires
- Identify problems and bring or be part of solution
- Help in Kitchen, Classroom or Bus Runs as needed when someone is absent
- Handle billing and payments with Parents
- Always follow BFTS, DECAL and Center Child Safety rules and policies.
- VIMP - Safety of Child is the First Priority at the center
Candidate Qualifications:
- Great Customer Service, maintain professional appearance, attitude at all the times.
- Good Communication, Interpersonal & Organizational skills
- Most important is being Flexible, Dependable, Reliable and being consistent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School or Diploma
- Clean Background, Employment & Fingerprint checks
- Comply with local, state, and federal laws governing child care.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
- CDA, TCC or teaching certification preferred. We can pay for TCC.
