Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented School Custodian whose dedication to cleanliness and maintenance will create a safe, welcoming, and inspiring environment for students, staff, and visitors alike. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring all school facilities are spotless, well-maintained, and fully operational. Your energetic approach to custodial tasks will help foster a positive learning atmosphere and uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety across the campus.

Monday through Friday 2pm-5pm

Drug testing and Passed Background checks are required. This is a safety sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and disinfecting toys, play equipment, classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
• Conduct routine janitorial tasks with precision to maintain a pristine environment that supports health and safety standards.
• Operate floor care equipment to ensure floors are clean, shiny, and well-maintained.
• Carry out custodial maintenance tasks like replacing light bulbs, and addressing minor repairs to keep facilities in optimal condition.
• Manage industrial cleaning procedures for specialized areas such as kitchens and therapy spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and techniques.
• Assist with facilities maintenance including painting walls or touch-ups to enhance the appearance of school spaces.
• Support by moving furniture or equipment as needed to facilitate school activities and events.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cleaning
• Knowledge of floor care techniques
• Familiarity with cleaning methods and equipment used in large-scale facility maintenance.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting or minor repairs effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
