As we continue to grow, we're looking for an Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. In this role, you'll work closely with patients and providers, supporting treatment from start to finish while helping create a welcoming, positive experience at every visit. - Work chair-side with Orthodontist, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties
- Preparing and taking patient molds
- Changing out rubber bands, wires, and brackets
- Adjusting fit of clear aligners such as Invisalign
- Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
- Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling)
- Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
- Current CPR/BLS Certification
- Virginia Radiation Certification or DANB Radiation Certification preferred
- DA Certificate (CDA, DA I, or DA II) preferred
