Infant Assistant — Kids & Co. Childcare Center (Turner, ME)
Kids & Co. is looking for a caring, dependable Infant Assistant to join our team. Our infant room (6 weeks to 18 months) is the heart of what we do — it's where families first trust us with their little ones. If you love babies and want to be part of a warm, play-based program that puts children first, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll do:
- Provide loving, attentive care to infants (6 weeks to 18 months) throughout the day
- Feed, change, and help babies settle for naps on their own schedules
- Get down on the floor and engage with the children — tummy time, songs, sensory play, and lots of one-on-one connection
- Keep the room clean, safe, and welcoming
- Communicate with parents about their child's day
- Work alongside your lead teacher to keep things running smoothly
What we're looking for:
- Someone who shows up on time and can be counted on
- A genuine passion for working with young children
- A warm, personable attitude with both kids and families
- The ability to lift 30–35 lbs (you'll be picking babies up all day)
- Prior childcare experience is a plus but not required; we'll train the right person
