Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and compassionate care to infants, ensuring their safety, comfort, and emotional well-being at all times
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and physical development in accordance with early childhood education standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and daily experiences to foster strong relationships
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being promptly and accurately
- Adhere to health and safety protocols including first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR certification, and infection control procedures
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum enhancements and participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development and classroom management
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with infants or toddlers in daycare centers, preschools, or caregiving settings is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of child development instruction, behavior management, and classroom experience with young children
- Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, and knowledge of mandated reporting laws required or willing to obtain upon hire
- Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and teamwork within a childcare environment
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
- Ability to supervise children actively while maintaining a nurturing environment
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles, childhood development milestones, and classroom management strategies

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
