Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Clothing Sorter & Cashier, where you will play a vital role in maintaining an organized, welcoming retail environment while delivering exceptional customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine hands-on merchandise management with engaging sales interactions. You will be responsible for sorting and organizing clothing items to ensure quality and accessibility, as well as handling retail transactions efficiently and accurately. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a positive shopping experience for every customer.

Responsibilities

• Sort, organize, and inspect clothing donations or inventory to ensure items meet quality standards and are ready for resale or distribution
• Assist customers by providing product information, answering questions, and offering friendly, attentive service
• Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems to process sales transactions smoothly and accurately
• Handle cash drawer operations, including cash handling and making change
• Upsell products by highlighting features and benefits during customer interactions to maximize sales opportunities
• Maintain stock levels on the sales floor through stocking, merchandising, and product placement to enhance visual appeal
• Conduct product demos or showcase featured items to engage customers and promote store offerings
• Follow phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or assisting customers over the phone
• Support store operations by performing basic math calculations for transactions
• Assist with retail experience tasks such as product knowledge sharing and merchandising

Experience

• Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in clothing or second-hand environments
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math is highly desirable
• Bilingual skills are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases effectively
• Strong communication skills with the ability to provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone
• Experience with baby equipment, clothing, upselling techniques, and merchandising strategies enhances performance in this role
• Knowledge of trending clothing styles, infant accessories, and maternity items are all plusses.
