Duties
- Support lead teachers by assisting with daily classroom activities, lesson implementation, and behavior management strategies
- Adapt quickly to different classrooms and age groups, providing consistent care and instruction
- Assist with lesson planning and curriculum development tailored to early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning
- Engage children in educational play, promoting development in areas such as language skills, motor skills, and social interaction
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment by following health and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to support individual needs and developmental progress
- Contribute to a positive classroom atmosphere through active participation and encouragement
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices in behavior management
- Experience with special education strategies or working with individuals with autism or disabilities is a plus
- Classroom management skills that foster a respectful and inclusive environment
- Familiarity with curriculum development for preschool or Montessori programs
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and families
